The aCC deployed on PA-RISC is a verry old (version 3.x) and is not conform to the current c++-standard (aCC-3.x has problems with templates). I got boost never compiled on this platform with aCC-3.x. I use gcc (depot from HP-website) and it works very well. If you can switch to Itanium-HP/UX you can use aCC-6.x which should work with boost. regards, Oliver

[date_time] Compilation error with MSVC8

Hello, before I explain my problem I'd like to apologize in advance if the error is on my part. Also this might have double posted because I believe I made an error initially, sorry if that's the case. I have a program using the date_time library. It compiles with msvc7.1 and MinGW but not under msvc8. Very simple usage is enough to recreate the error: #include <boost/date_time/posix_time/posix_time.hpp> ... boost::posix_time::ptime tim = boost::posix_time::second_clock::local_time(); std::cout << tim; I've attached the error output to this mail, I realize it is long but I wasn't sure if any bits could be safely left out. Hello all, I'm attempting to build Boost filesystem as a shared library on HP using aCC(I have no choice, I have to use this compiler). Here is machine and compiler info: HP-UX B.11.11 U 9000/800 (tb) aCC: HP ANSI C++ B3910B A.03.63 I have done a libs/config/configure and generated a user.hpp file for this compiler, but using the config doesn't help any. Problems when compiling with Xcode

Hi folks, This might be a silly question, or one that has already been addressed in the past, but here goes anyway. I have Xcode 2.4 and recently, I had to compile a static library for Universal code. I am assuming that the Boost sdk is forcing my compiler to look in the /usr/include path for the string header file instead of the Mac OS X 10.2.8 sdk path. Is this assumption correct?
