Dear boost users, can anybody explain how to pass a filename containing a (windows) drive letter into a boost::filesystem::path? For instance, if the path should point to c:\test.txt (on a Windows system), what is the portable filename that I should pass to the boost::filesystem::path constructor? Thanks in advance! Portability of boost libs for "universal linux binary?"

Details: I work on a project where one of the eventual goals is to have one binary for a given architecture that runs on multiple Linux distributions. This goal is currently accomplished by both Sun's Java VM as well as the cmake project ( http://www.cmake.org/HTML/Index.html ). We are in the process of evaluating how this goal is impacted by third party dependencies. We currently use the following boost libs: thread, program_options, regex, date_time, and filesystem. I strongly suspect that the thread lib is going to be the biggest cause of grief towards accomplishing this goal (mostly due to the inability to static link it). Are the other (non thread) boost libs statically linkable? Thanks in advance. -- Zach

zlib memory leaks [RC_1_34_0]

I noticed that /boost/boost/iostreams/filter/zlib.hpp (Revision 1.25.2.1) from the RC_1_33_0 branch, for which the zlib memory leaks were fixed, still needs to be merged with the MAIN branch.

Hmm k i have a simple question, how would I build boost.python given this following information. I am using dev-cpp and its install in "c:\dev-cpp" folder. IN it contains the mingw32 sub directory My project folder is "c:\cs classes\cs386\c++". In it contains FiniteAutomta.cpp which maps to python module... my boost folder is "C:\boost_1_33_1" in it contains the bjam.exe file. PYTHON_ROOT = "C:\python24" Thanks for the help. I look at the tutorial but is confused on how I can build my project.

[boost.python] void pointer argument problem

Hello, I'm trying to use boost.python to wrap a C function that takes a pointer on a void pointer as an argument. But I'm going wrong to use the example from the FAQ. [regex] compile issue

Finally got around to upgrading to 1.33.1 on HP 11i, g++ 4.1.1. in v4/regex_traits_defaults.hpp, the compiler was not happy with the WCHAR_MIN == 0 and WCHAR_MAX <= USHRT_MAX checks. This appears to be due to their definition: #define WCHAR_MIN (wchar_t)0 #define WCHAR_MAX (wchar_t)UINT_MAX I tried a few things I could think of, but ended up undef'ing and redefining them without the (wchar_t). Testing Program Output

Hi all, Is there support in Boost for testing program output, which depends exclusively in its arguments? Briefly, my program is not-interactive and its result (to stdout) depends uniquely on its input argument. Is there anything in Boost that can help me test my program this way? I've been using the Unit Testing Framework for unit tests and for the tests I've mentioned I've only found dejagnu up until now. Another solution would be bash-scripts that would run the program and check output, but that's not nice enough for me. Anything in Boost I might use? If not, are there any other suggestions? [BGL] connected components algorithm

Hello everyone. I'm trying to implement Fleury's algorithm to find an Eulerian path in a graph. Every time I erase an edge in the graph, I need to check how many connected components I have (because I can't erase an edge that is a "bridge"). Also, I was using in the beginning graphs with VertexList=VecS but it turns out that when you erase an edge all the vertex descriptors are invalidated. Thus, I had to copy my graph to another one with VertexList=listS. I was wondering if the connected components algorithm works with this type of graph. I'm having an error.
