BOOST_NO_SWPRINTF defined for VC++ 6.0

Why is BOOST_NO_SWPRINTF defined for VC++ 6.0 in the config\compiler\visualc.hpp ? There most certainly is a swprintf in the header files. Is there something wrong with it in VC6 ? If I can't use it in some Boost code which I am modifying slightly for my own purpose, is there something else I can use ?

Why does lexical_cast make a copy?

I noticed that the function declaration of lexical_cast is: template<typename Target, typename Source> Target lexical_cast(Source arg) Namely that arg is a copy of the original source. Is there a specific reason that a copy is made? Why isn't it a 'const Source&' instead? --

Missing timestamp.c in jam_src

I just downloaded Boost 1.27.0 and tried to build jam for my Tru64 Unix system. The make failed, because there is no timestamp.c in the tools/build/jam_src directory.

Hi, there: regex_grep_example_3.cpp is the example source file in the boost/regex library. I find a bug at line 92 : boost::regex_grep(std::bind1st(std::mem_fun (&class_index::grep_callback), this), start, end, expression); where "mem_fun" should be "mem_fun1". ps:I use MSVC6.0 on Micro$oft win2k.
